  • Computers with Causes.

    Computers with Causes invites anyone in need of a working computer to complete their application. Their main focus is assistance to students, teachers, and parents, the elderly, foster homes, shelters, disabled US veterans and struggling military families, and like-minded nonprofit organizations.

  • Workforce Boulder County Computer Training Center.

    The Workforce Virtual Computer Training Center (CTC) offers free, self-guided programs to help people gain a variety of computer skills. They use software called Custom Guide that allows people to improve their computer skills from wherever they have access to a computer and the Internet.

    You can also have access to the CTC at one of two office locations in Boulder and Longmont. Through interactive e-learning, people can move at their own pace, select the programs they want to learn, and grow their skills and confidence. Specific computer skills include:

    • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, OneNote, Project, Teams, Office Fundamentals;

    • Google Gmail, Docs, Drive, Sheets, Slides

    • Business Writing, Effective Presentations, Email Etiquette, Zoom

  • Tech Pals.

    Tech Pals is a Boulder-based volunteer organization that offers technology training to older adults and others to help them embrace technology. They host workshops at many senior centers, provide assistance over the phone, and even offer one-on-one in-home help.

    Tech Pals recently began their VR Silver Program to improve the quality of life of older adults through meaningful, shared experience in virtual reality that stimulates memory and cognitive function, provides fun non-traditional exercise, recreation beyond physical limitations, reduce isolation, and bring joy.   • Boulder Public Library.

    The Boulder Library offers free Wi-Fi, reservations for their public desktop computers, 3-week checkouts of Internet hotspots that can be used anywhere, and 90-minute checkouts of Chromebook laptops for use within the library. Click here to learn more about computer and printing resources available at the library.

    Walk-in tech help is available at the Boulder Public Library every Saturday.

    • 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Meadows branch

    • 1 – 3 p.m. in the Main Library’s Flatirons Room

    Tech help sessions are limited to 15 minutes when others are waiting. No registration required for in-person help. Bring your questions and your device!
