BCH Pathways.
Boulder Community Health’s Pathways programs offer mindfulness-based nature therapy to individuals with a broad range of mental health issues. Depending on the level of care needed, our partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP) provide patients with a unique approach to address mental health issues through hands-on activities and group sessions providing positive experiences in nature.
Pathways accepts most major insurance plans and Medicare.

Boulder AcuDetox
Boulder Acudetox ofers FREE trauma and mental health support to the Boulder community. They host regular events during which trained practitioners administer a 5-point acupuncture protocol in the ears. For those who are averse to needles, they also offer alternative treatments to target these points.

Can help people feel calmer, more relaxed, able to think more clearly, as well as help with better sleep.
Can help shift a person from the sympathetic (fight, flight, freeze response) into the parasympathetic (rest & restore), supporting stress management.
Is used world-wide as a crisis intervention treatment following disasters to help prevent PYSD and to support resilience.
Can help reduce withdrawal and cravings for alcohol, drugs, and other addictions.
Is regarded as a useful addition to drug treatment programs by the Federal Center for Substance Abuse Treatment.
Is safe for pregnant women (always check with your doctor, especially in the third trimester)

Boulder Emotional Wellness.

Boulder, CO 80303Boulder Emotional Wellness serves the Boulder area community in-person and through telehealth. BEW counselors also serve Coloradans state-wide through teletherapy. We are available for Medicaid, CIGNA, Aetna, and Kaiser/Beacon, and sliding scale self-pay clients.
The clinic is not appropriate for emergency care or for clients who may require 24 hour supervision or immediate access to service.

Naropa Community Counseling Center.

Boulder, CO 80301Naropa Community Counseling Center provides cutting edge, transformative intervention across a broad range of therapeutic services. They serve Boulder and Front Range residents with low to moderate income, offering low cost services provided by Intern and post graduate Clinicians. Prices range, depending on experience, from $60–$100 for individual sessions and $70–$120 for couples sessions (intakes are slightly more). The Clinic also accepts Medicaid.

Natural Highs
Natural Highs provides healthy alternatives to drugs and alcohol through offering workshops, drop-in classes, groups, presentations, sober events, and entrepreneurial and leadership opportunities for teens. The goal of the program is for teens to learn about substance abuse & mental health, discover healthy alternatives, support each other with healthy choices, and take on leadership roles to positively impact teens and adults in their communities.

Queer Asterisk.

Denver, CO 80218Queer Asterisk empowers and nurtures the diverse ways of being that queer people embody by providing accessible counseling, education and community programs that uplift queer, trans and gender expansive lives. Queer Asterisk counseling services are queer informed and affirming with an emphasis on queer resilience and vitality.
They accept Medicaid and Medicare, and most private insurance providers. Our out-of-pocket rate is $150 per 50-minute session, but they offer a sliding scale as well as full and partial scholarships.
For those who cannot travel to Denver, Queer Asterisk also provides telehealth counseling services.

Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence (SPAN).

Boulder, CO 80304SPAN is a human rights organization committed to ending violence against adults, youth and children through support, advocacy, education and community organizing. SPAN began providing services in 1979 and is crucial to the network of support that offers critical “safety net” services to vulnerable, low-income and at-risk populations. It is the only organization serving Boulder, western Broomfield, smaller towns and unincorporated Boulder County designed to provide shelter and advocacy for victims of domestic violence.

Umbrella Collective.

Boulder, CO 80301The Umbrella Collective was developed to be a group practice where clients can see themselves reflected in their therapists from an inclusive standpoint. They consist of a network of talk therapists who specialize in working with an intersectional lens, centering the margins in the therapeutic work. They offer many different psychotherapy modalities, including psychodynamic, somatic, EMDR, CBT, Hypnotherapy, and Substance Abuse treatment. They provide consultation to individuals, families, and groups.
